"Other People" is the Opening Movie at Sundance

I wrote and performed the score for Chris Kelly's incredible debut feature, which opens the 2016 Sundance film fest tonight. If you are in Park City, check this very special movie out, and if you are not in Park City, keep an eye out!

Animals on HBO

I've been working on the music for Animals, which is an animated show about New York City's downtrodden animals (pigeons, rats, and more!) coming to HBO (!) in February. The show is hilarious and aside from my score, has an incredible collection of music. I can't wait for everyone to see it!

Helen Hunt's "Ride" to Hit Theaters May 1st

I had the privilege to work with the insanely talented Helen Hunt last year on her 2nd feature Ride, which she wrote, directed, produced and starred in. I just did the music, which was really fun. Chris Douridas from KCRW was the music supervisor, and I've been a fan of his for a long time so it was pretty rad to get to work with him.  Here's a fun behind the scenes photo from the mix, and if you follow this link, you can watch the trailer for Ride.

Heading to SXSW for "6 Years"

I'm not actually going to South By South West for six whole years (as much as I love Austin, six years at a film festival sounds like a Kafka/Ballard-esque prison) but for the weekend to celebrate the premiere of an awesome movie that I scored, called 6 Years. Directed by the wonderful and talented Hannah Fidell, it's a beautiful and funny film about a young couple, played by Taissa Farmiga and Ben Rosenfeld.

I'll be at the screening on Saturday, and later that day, the Overnight party train continues with a screening that evening. I'll be at both, so if you are there, be sure to say hi.

The Overnight at Sundance!

The Overnight, written and directed by my friend Patrick Brice and starring Adam Scott, Taylor Schilling, Jason Schwartzman and Judith Godreche, played to an amazing reception at Sundance this year. To top it off, the film sold to the Orchard and should be in theaters soon.  I had a blast doing the score for this film, which Patrick and I decided sounds like a comedy version of John Carpenter's Assault on Precinct 13 score.

As the release gets closer, stay tuned for tracks from the score and info on a soundtrack!

The Pretty One Soundtrack Out Now!

TPO_OST_cover2RGB.jpg

My synthesizer score for The Pretty One is now available to buy on iTunes and Amazon. I'm pretty psyched about this score;  I had been wanting to do an electronic score in the vein of Witness or Blade Runner for quite some time and it was so much fun to do! My friend Michael Andrews was kind enough to loan me his Yamaha CS-70M and me and that keyboard got close. It's a wonderful instrument and it was an incredible experience to use it on this score.

You can check out the soundtrack, which also features a cover version of "It Might Be You" from the movie "Tootsie", at the link below:

Tribeca Films Acquires "The Big Ask"

Back when it was called "Teddy Bears", I scored this ensemble comedy directed by my good friends Thomas Beatty and Rebecca Fishman. Tribeca is putting it out in theaters on May 30 and it will be available on VOD on May 20. Stay tuned for info on a soundtrack release.
